Communication Apps

As part of St Francis Xavier’s commitment to streamline process, reduce paper waste throughout our school and improve communication between home and school, we use the following three apps:

Flexibuzz is an electronic communication tool that you will be able to receive the school newsletter, access the school calendar, lodge absences and receive important information when required.

CareMonkey is a health and safety system that automatically keeps medical and emergency details up to date. These details are then instantly available to authorised staff when required, such as school excursions or sporting events. We also use this system to reduce paper waste by having all permission/consent forms be signed electronically through this system as well as parents being able to secure timeslots for our Parent Teacher Interviews twice a year.

Seesaw is a digital portfolio that allows parents to view their children’s learning during real time on their mobile device. In conjunction with their teacher, students can “show what they know” using photos and videos.

The St Francis Xavier newsletter is published fortnightly on a Friday during the school term. Our multi-page digital newsletter works on any device and you can open the latest edition by clicking on the Latest Newsletter button

All previous issues can also be accessed by clicking on the Archive button once the link has opened.

Assemblies are held every second Thursday at 2:30pm – 3:00pm in the hall and are assemblies are led by our School Captains. We welcome parents and the school community to join us.

School Uniform

St Francis Xavier has a uniform shop onsite and is open every second Friday between 2:30 – 3:30pm and on the fourth Friday between 8:30 – 9:30am. If you are unable to attend during these tines you may complete a Uniform Order Form and return to the school office with the correct money or your credit card details. The order will then be sent home with your child via their classroom tub.

The main goals of the St Francis Xavier School Advisory Council is to:

  • act as a forum for effective communication within the school community, being the parish, school principal, staff, students, school groups, parents and the parish community generally.
  • promote community development by fostering a strong interrelationship between parish and the parish primary school, Catholic secondary colleges and pre-schools.
