On Thursday 31st May a group of 38 very excited Year Prep students experienced their first excursion travelling by bus to Healesville Sanctuary.
As part of our Term Two Inquiry unit, ‘Great Southern Land’, the students are learning about Australia, its special places and landmarks and animals unique to Australia. An excursion to Healesville Sanctuary allowed the students to see a number of Australian animals in their natural habitat.
At Healesville Sanctuary the Prep students experienced two shows, ‘Tales from Platypus Creek’ and ‘Spirits of the Sky’ and we walked around different parts of the sanctuary and saw various Australian animals.
Thank you to the parent helpers who accompanied us on Thursday. Your help and care for the Prep students is greatly appreciated.
